Barry Wrafter

Barry Wrafter - Sculptor and architectural stone carver

From his first commission in 1999 for the river walk sculpture trail in Ennis, Barry has worked on a number of large scale projects throughout Ireland - a number of which have featured in the national press and on RTE.

It is perhaps no surprise that Barry has chosen sculpture as his vocation in life, as the Wrafters have a history in this craft, and the distinction of being mentioned in Seamus Murphys book “Stone Mad”.

His most recent work entitled Market Day, was commissioned by Ennis Town Council and completed in 2011 and can be seen in the middle of Market Square, Ennis.
