Born in Kilkenny in 1976 Ruaíri Carroll has been actively working as a sculptor since his graduation with first class honours from Crawford College of Art in 1999.
Having initially experimented with a variety of contrasting materials it’s ironic that Ruaíri eventually chose limestone as his preferred medium of choice.
Limestone quarries are dotted all around Kilkenny with one located just one mile from Ruairí’s studio in Three Castles.
